Welcome to my campaign headquarters. Here are some things you should know:
1.
Why Joliet and Shorewood need a judge
2.
Why Elizabeth wants to be your judge
3.
What you can do today to help Elizabeth win
Why I Want to be Your Judge:
My father didn't want me or my brothers and sisters to become attorneys. A lawyer himself, he didn't like the combative nature of the profession. But I saw how much he loved helping people solve problems, and it was the reason I chose to become a lawyer. I enjoy helping people.
Fifteen years later, I still love helping people: whether it's giving a voice to a child in the middle of a custody batter or helping a senior citizen return to the home she and her husband built after the Second World War. It's true job satisfaction.
Now I would like to take my experience and put it to work for you as a Circuit Court Judge. These races always fly below the radar screen, especially when we're electing a President. But having a quality judiciary is one of the things that makes our legal system the envy of the world.
No system is perfect, of course, but the beauty of the American legal system is that we can work through our problems rather than resorting to violence first.
I would be honored to work for you as a Circuit Court Judge. Please vote Elizabeth Dow for Circuit Court Judge on November 4, 2008.
