Illinois State Bar Association Recommends Elizabeth Dow
Peers Rate Elizabeth Dow Highest Among Six Candidates

Joliet, IL – 25 Jan. 2008– The Illinois State Bar Associaiton, in conjunction with the Will County Bar Association, has released the results of its Judicial Qualification Poll today.

The poll is designed to gauge whether or not an attorney is qualified to become a judge (or whether or not a sitting judge is qualified for the post). These ratings will be important as voters take to the poll on February 5th to select their respective party nominees.

Among the six attorneys vieing to become a judge in the 2nd Judicial Sub-Circuit, Elizabeth Dow received the highest rating among all of the candidates.

• Phillip A. Mock (R) - 82.72% - Recommended
• Jeff Allen (D) - 79.71% - Recommended
• Daniel F. O’Connell (D) - 67.61% - Recommended
• Melanie Manning (D) - 58.62% - Not recommended
• Tim Placher (D) - 46.53% - Not recommended
